The registration forms for the 25th Annual Vojtech Jarnik International Mathematical Competition are available here. Deadlines for Registrations are 28th February for universities and 22nd March for competitors.

The fee of participation is 600 CZK (approx. 20 EUR) for every competitor.
Travel and accommodation costs are not covered by the organiser.
Accommodation is not managed by the organiser. However, this link could be useful.

All students interested in Mathematics are welcome.

VJIMC 2011
The Vojtěch Jarník International Mathematical Competition is held at the University of Ostrava every year in March or April. The competition is intended for university students who are interested in Mathematics.
It is the oldest mathematical competition for university students in the European Union.
The competition was established in 1991 by a student of a student of Vojtěch Jarník and nowadays it is organized by students of a student of a student of Vojtěch Jarník.

Competition Overview
There are two categories of competitors:
Category I is intended for a university student who does not attend and has not completed the 3rd year of the university studies of Mathematics (or similar branch) and who is less than 22 years old on the day of the Competition.
Category II is intended for a university student who has not completed university studies of Mathematics (or similar branch) and is less than 25 years old on the day of the Competition.

Competitors solve usually four problems in four hours. Problems are chosen by the jury which consists of university delegates.

In the table below there is a complete historical overview of the Competition including some photos. You are very welcome to try to solve the problems yourself without any hints which can be finally found in the "Solutions" section.
